KIVA Women and Children's Learning Center Population: Female Description: Long-term residential program (six to twelve months) for substance abusing women and their children. Services include assessment, educational workshops in topics such as life skills, vocational training, health, and relapse prevention as well as treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and parenting instruction. Services also include a perinatal detox program. Phone: 619.465.7303   2. Perinatal Detox Population: Female Description: Ten to 14 day residential detox for pregnant women. Program includes detox and pregnancy issues, transition to residential treatment, assessment, educational workshops in parenting, substance abuse issues, health, and relapse prevention. Non-Medical Residential East County Detox Population: Male & female Description: Residential detox program of five to ten days duration which provides drug and alcohol education, and an introduction to 12-step recovery in a safe, supportive environment. Referrals to longer-term treatment and sober living environments provided. Fees are based on a sliding scale.
