Services: Signs of Life
Signs of Life Programs (SOL)
Signs of Life (adult deaf, hard of hearing, and late deafened program)

Population: Adult Male & Female

Description:
This program is a unique concept created by McAlister Institute. We specializ to serve the deaf, hard of hearing, and late deafened adult community of San Diego county. We approach Substance Abuse issues with cultural sensitivity and we feature American Sign Language (ASL) in Training and Education. We also use high technology such as Video Relay Service and TTY to increase our efficiency and client satisfaction.

SOL is a comprehensive outpatient recovery center which provides individual and group counseling and individualized treatment planning.  The program curriculum includes alcohol and drug education, life skills, employment preparation and job skills, parenting classes, relapse prevention, and health education.

While Signs of Life is an Adult Outpatient Program, our community resources include housing and shelter options like San Diego Rescue Mission, and McAlister's Kiva program for Women and Children. We also provide Detox Programs and Sober Living to those who are in need of these services.

Feel free to Email our Program Manager, with any questions about housing options or specific program information.
